Spring Photo Shoot

Audrey is finally over her cold, and we got a gorgeous Spring day. I just had to take her outside for a photo shoot in her orange sherbert sun dress and matching blanket. Of course she just wanted to eat the grass.

Happy Birth Day Kara Elizabeth!

Hooray! Our newest niece, Kara Elizabeth Perkins, is finally here. She arrived today at 5:20 p.m. weighing 9 lbs. 14 oz.!!!! And she is 21 inches long!! We all get to meet her next week and cannot wait. I want to touch that sweet head of hair.

Happy 8th Birthday Jay Eric!! I cannot believe this roley poley baby is already a handsome young man. You are so smart and energetic. I am impressed at how quickly you learn new things. You are nice to ALL the kids at school and they love you back. It's so fun for Uncle Andy and me to have lunch with you at school and see all the kids (younger and older) get excited to see JAY.... especially the girls!!! You're such a stud!! But what I love best about you is your sense of humor. We can always count on you to get us laughing. We love you, Bubba!

Happy V'Day (Part 2)

I got so many cute pictures I had a hard time just picking four (which is all the blog will allow me in one post). Audrey is so quick to give a big toothy smile, but its' so hard to catch on camera... especially when it's just me. I'm determined to catch one and share it with you.

Happy Valentine's Day (Part 1)

I can't believe my little Valentine will be 7 months old in two days!

She took off her shoe and ate it, so mommy had to take it away. That's what she's looking up at.

Cheerios

So far, Audrey does NOT like Cheerios. We keep giving them to her so she can practice picking up small objects and feeding herself. She'll like them soon enough.

Got one. Time to eat it.

She will swallow the Cheerio and later gag/cough it back up.

And then a little tremble from the disgust of it all. Sometimes she'll do the tremble minutes after she's eaten the Cheerio.
Notice all the Cheerios in her lap. She would rake them to the edge of the tray and they would fall over the lip before she could grasp them.

"A Good Book" and "Teeth"

Audrey likes to try to escape when it's diaper changing time, so I gave her this book to distract her. I was surprised that she "read" it instead of eating it first.

Not the best of pictures, but the only one we have so far of her two new teeth. The extra thick string of spit tells us the top ones are soon to arrive.
